Post production Project

ok, so ive decided to team up with Simon and Lee for this project. my self and simon spent some time coming up with lots of ideas to do for this project, but without a brief as of yet im not fully sure what we can do yet. hopefully it will be ok if we can stick to our idea of a movie trailer, which should be quite interesting.
what we are hoping to do is learn how to use Toxik ASAP so we can spend as much time as possible on the project, and this is basicly what ive been doing for the week; watching tutorials and looking at various showreels explaining what software packages they use for each one.
I've noticed that Toxic doesnt seem to have any sort of particle system incorporated into it, so what I've been doing is going back into after effects and playing around with stuff in there. The vast amounts of After effects tutorials on particles and such has helped, plus i think its good to try and know your way round a few packages so you don't limit yourself to one.

ok so what ive had a go at today is a sort of "soul drain", in which the characters soul is being drained from his body. the tutorial for this project has helped me learn a fair amount within After effects regarding tracking and the particle systems, and im hoping to have a go at a few more tutorials by the end of the weekend.
ive also been listening to some royalty free scores composed for editing and short films in which i hope to have some fun with also.
