been doing some very interesting work lately with walk cycles in 2d and 3d. firstly carrying on from last time we have been focusing on getting walk cycles to look reasonable normal :D ..

and from practicing a few techniques ive found my own way of setting out my walk cycle so its less time consuming and generally just looks alot better.

heres a 2d walk cycle trying to put some sort of emotion in it. tried to get the feeling this guy is in a hurry

im very pleased with the result, due to practicing i think ive got the technique sussed. i just need to focus a bit more on getting the emotion through the character.

we have been doing similar things in 3d aswell, trying to look at different walk. heres my attempt at a sneeking style walk

with this image u can see the character is trying to sneek, but i think if i made her slighty more flexable and less rigid the overall look would be better.

next up is our final 2d piece, in which is the same walk we recorded and tried to transfer to 2d and 3d.

im very pleased with this piece. took me a while to get everything right, and im very happy
